100 notecards with envelopes. Includes two designs (50 of each). Inside is blank, no message. Cards are size A7 (roughly 5x7), standard size for US Mail (one Forever Stamp). This product utilizes recycled paper and was made in the United States. Each icon is a different take on Our Lady of Tenderness, a traditional Orthodox pose of the Mother and Child, which shows Jesus with a shoe falling off. He turns to his Mother for comfort. The spirituality and humanity of each icon will have a special meaning to each viewer. Artist Tom Dolphens was a long-time art director for various publications, who was always inspired by icons. After years of commercial work, he decided to devote his entire life to painting icons in the traditional manner, using egg tempera and age-old techniques. Cards produced by and benefit KC Arts Beat, Kansas City's entertaining source for information about the arts, as well as reviews of local concerts, books and CDs.
